very impressive work on the shadows  the shoe appears to be a little bit disproportionate to where she is standing (I am assuming that is to give the scene some depth) I find using obtuse angles in "distortion" mode really helps :)

all in all - very impressive !

This is pretty good, though I see a few places for improvement. First, the edges are all way too crisp. Have you tried feathering the separate layers(each stock photo)?
Good work on the shadows, though sky seems a bit too bright for those clouds. Then again, maybe it is supposed to be that way, I've never read the story.
Someone else already mentioned the shoe..
The field would look like it belonged more if the further back it got, the darker it was. It looks like there should be a sun rise/set at the end of the road what with the light on the grass. Just darken that a bit and you should be good to go. :)

Feathering the stock images?

sky. i wanted to give it a kind of surrealistic feel to it. . .

For the field, should i just use the burn tool?

If you use photoshop, feathering around the edges of the cut out images will blur the edges a little and make them look like they belong. the feather option is under the 'select' menu or use can use alt + ctrl + D to bring it up. 2-4px feather should do.
On the sky, it is very surrealistic! I looked again, and it's fine. :)

Burn tool would be okay, long as you do it at a low percentage. Maybe 10%?
I'm mostly repeating advice I got the first time I did a photomanip, and it looked a lot like yours. (Not the subject, but the technique)
